Resiliency: Spoken Word and Poetry

RESILIENCY POEM
Learning how to cope,

Learning how to master disaster/

was a pastor, really was an actor/

Thought I knew resiliency, but revealed to me/ was a dragon sized mythology, to which I swore fealty/

See, I didn’t know what Cam wanted, what Cam needed/

Was told to heal the holes in my heart but didn’t heed it/

Now I self-disclose, revealing my soul–it was much needed/

Striving to be sensitive and a soldier–That’s resiliency/

Not having to hold the world on my shoulders, that’s resiliency/

I’m changing into a Wounded Healer quite brilliantly/

Learning to safely sail the oceans of my emotions/

That’s Resiliency.
